Mamdani’s $53M Mass Engagement office draws Council questions over budget, political guardrails

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Office of Mass Engagement, funded with a $53 million budget according to Budget Director Sherif Soliman, sparked City Council scrutiny Tuesday.
